Since Sally was plotting to steal Miranda’s role, Sally began shopping, spending masses amount of money on her credit card. She had full confidence that her plan of showcasing Miranda’s faults would work and in turn score her a huge pay rise. She had been in contact with a number of single men that she knew would go along with her plan. But now they either had a girlfriend or had moved into the suburbs. That was the only thing she could not find in her plan, the leading man. She opened the front door to her apartment, plonked her new Gucci bag on the counter and sat down on the lounge exhausted.

Isaac walked out of the bedroom, “Where have you been?” he asked angrily. He was becoming more and more dependent on Sally and she was starting to become sick of it.

“Shopping,” she crossed her arms, a frown tugging down at her lips.

“Shopping, is that all you ever do?”

“Yep,” Sally responded in a childlike manner. Knowing the response would outrage him even more.

“What happened to spending time with me?” Isaac sulked.

“What about it?” she said shortly.

“We live together, but we never see each other.”

“Is that such a bad thing?” Sally spat out.

“Yes, Sally it is, this is not how relationships work,” he said seriously.

“Yes, Dr Phil,” Sally replied sarcastically.

Isaac was completely fed up with Sally’s poor attitude. He pulled all his cards out on the table. “Sally you are a deceitful, lying, skank,” Isaac stormed to the door, stepped out and slammed the door shut.

Sally still had not moved from the lounge and just laughed out loud. “Good riddens,” she said cheerily as she waved at the closed door.

The next morning as Miranda reminisced about her weekend, she leisurely took her time to get ready for work. She arrived to work at the standard starting time, which was unusual for Miranda as she normally began work well before anyone else arrived. “Good morning,” she said happily as she walked past everyone’s desks.

As she arrived at her desk, Jim approached her. “Miranda, how are you, ready for a big day?” he asked positively.

“Always Jim,” Miranda replied.

“Good, I cannot wait to hear what you have done for the event so far?” he looked at her hopeful.

Miranda told Jim what she had completed on the weekend. He seemed shocked that she had not done as much as he thought she would have. Miranda reassured him to not worry. The task was in good hands. Miranda printed a contact list for Sally to contact, however Miranda soon realised Sally had not yet arrived. If she was going to help, she should at least arrive at a reasonable time.

Miranda continued with her next item on the agenda, the catering. Her mouth watered whilst examining the menu of appetizers to be served. Champagne was a must to help with the negotiations.

Time passed and Sally finally arrived, “Hi Miranda, sorry I’m late today. Jim said you had some work for me?”

“Yes I need your full attention this week and for you to focus only on the tasks I give you.” Miranda continued on to explain in detail about the tasks Sally needed to complete for the event. By the end of the discussion Miranda observed Sally. “Is everything okay Sally?” she asked tenderly.

“Yes, thank you. I will start this now.” Sally marched back to her desk and slammed the paperwork down. Miranda brushed off Sally’s attitude and classed her behaviour as PMS.
