APAC. The man, who allegedly threw some materials at President Museveni during his Operation Wealth Creation programme tour in Apac District last week, has been charged with annoying the person of the President and remanded to prison.

After President Museveni had addressed a gathering at Apac Boma Ground last Tuesday, Mr Aaron Odur alias Epet, allegedly threw an unspecified bundle of materials towards him as he entered his vehicle.
North Kyoga police spokesperson Manshur Suwed, confirmed to this newspaper that the security personnel witnessed the incident.

Presiding Grade One Magistrate Jude Okumu last Friday did not allow Mr Odur, a resident of Aornga village, Abongomola Sub-county in Apac District, to take plea before him, saying the court does not have jurisdiction to handle the case.
He was remanded to Atopi Prison until August 6.
