 Upcoming Events

Thea has been called a 'shimmering bridge between heart and mind.' She has been called a 'powerhouse.' Why does Thea tells stories the way she does? She says, "I was brought up by a theoretical physicist who taught me to see the long view of everything. And that included music, theater, and art in addition to science and history."

Thea's favorite aspects of the written word are subtext and musicality. The Story Space says that "Thea is a contextual poet, author and musician whose storytelling is electrifying. She weaves personal anecdotes with history, insights, humor, magic, religion, science and culture. Gritty and sublimely poetic, she is a role model for the perfect fusion of head and heart, intellect, emotion and passion." Do try to make one of these upcoming performances.

Thea performing

Wake Up and Smell the Poetry merges minds and souls of poets, musicians and other performing artists as well as those simply coming to listen. Thea will be reading poetry from her book The Sanctuary of Artemis. And the highlight of her feature will be an excerpt from her one-woman show The Only Thing Greek About Me is My Name. This excerpt delves into the history of the ancient Olympics which intrigued Thea when she went to Olympia. Why did the racing start? And why every four years?

The program is filmed before a live audience and later airs on local cable television. Free admission, free coffee donated by Starbucks. To sign up for open mic and/or reserve your seat, send email to cbperreault@gmail.com

"Thea's like a mild-mannered, absent-minded professor when you talk to her, and then she gets onto the stage and bam, she explodes into this superpower." - Sandra Elaine Scott, author of The Magical Day

RECENT SIGHTINGS OF THEA
UMass Boston, Boston, MA, Mar 2017

“At the end of an hour of the magic of Thea in her many worlds which she shares with such wit and wisdom, I felt almost as if I had been transmuted into another being so captivating, transforming, inspiring, brilliantly constructed, and affecting were the tales she told and sang.  It was an experience I would like to share with everyone I love.” -    Bambi Good, lover of story, MA

"Talking Climate", Medfield TV, Medfied MA May 2017

“Thea is a scientist and her intelligence shows in her writings, but she also creates this artistic humor that is just amazing.”

“Wonderful beyond words, musical, expressive, a command of languages to sculpt a gorgeous landscape.”

“Thea has a way of bringing her deepest emotions to the surface and conveying them to her audience.”
