Las Vegas will be rockin’ this weekend when the fourth annual iHeart Music Festival hits the town! Though the event, which will be hosted by Ryan Seacrest, will not have quite as many musical legends as last year, when the likes of Katy Perry, Paul McCartney and Elton John hit the stage, this two-day musical extravaganza will still showcase some of today’s and yesteryear’s hottest musical acts. Read on, to get the 411!

The musical acts performing this year will include Lorde, Iggy Azalea, Steve Aoki, Weezer, Taylor Swift, Bastille, Paramore, Coldplay, Ed Sheeran, Zac Brown Band, Usher, Mötley Crüe, Eric Church, One Direction, Nicki Minaj, 50 Cent and Ariana Grande! Also, one update is that Meghan Trainor has been added to the lineup!

The good news for fans is that, according to Forbes, the average ticket price to either day of the two-day event is 40 percent less than the price last year. The bad news is that the tickets are still relatively expensive, though many are available. Tickets can be ordered directly from the iHeartRadio Music Village site at the second link below. There is also info there about where the music the acts perform can be heard streaming live if making it all the way to Las Vegas just is not in the cards this year.

On Friday this year, it has been generally acknowledged that many of the more popular of this year’s acts will be performing. That is why, again according to Forbes, the ticket prices for Saturday will be 46 percent lower than they were last year and they will be a bit lower than the prices for Saturday’s tickets.

On Friday, September 19, iHeart Radio Music Festival concert goers will be able to see acts like Steve Aoki, Mötley Crüe, Taylor Swift, Usher, Ariana Grande, Bastille, Before You Exit, Nicki Minaj and the Zac Brown Band.

Then, on Saturday, September 20, hitting the stage will be Train, 50 Cent, Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Iggy Azalea, Weezer, Calvin Harris, Lorde, Eric Church, Paramore and One Direction.

Also, performing live during the daytime at the iHeartRadio Music Festival Village in the MGM Resorts Village will be 5 Seconds of Summer, The Pretty Reckless, Neon Trees, Fences, Lil Jon, Childish Gambino, Kacey Musgraves, Jake Miller, Meghan Trainor, Iggy Azalea and more.

As an example of what tickets could cost, the iHeartRadio Music Festival site has tickets listed as being available at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, for Friday, September 19 kicking off at 7:15 p.m., ranging anywhere from $175 to $560. The site has just 100 currently available for Friday. Acts there will be Mötley Crüe, Taylor Swift, Steve Aoki, Coldplay, Bastille, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Zac Brown Band, and Ariana Grande.

However, Forbes reports that the secondary market costs for Friday tickets are “averaging $766.09,” but that is still not bad, as that price is “41% below last year’s opening day average of $1300.27.” On Saturday, Forbes says that secondary market ticket prices will be lower, down to around $651.28. That is about 46 percent lower than last year’s Saturday ticket prices.

Those concert goers with deep pockets might consider purchasing another ticket option, with the proceeds going to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which benefits youth inspiration through initiatives focused on education and entertainment. Called IfOnly Premier Tickets, these tickets cost a measly $10,000. They grant a person access to both days of the iHeartRadio Music Festival. As an added bonus, they also grant access to official Saturday night’s iHeartRadio party at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, where many of the musical acts will also be in attendance and partying down. Ticket holders can even participate in a photo op with an artist yet-to-be-determined on one of the two days.

Acts returning from last year to perform include Calvin Harris, Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj and Usher. These performers will all have albums coming out during the fourth quarter of this year. The iHeartRadio Music Festival has proven to be a great way for singers and bands to promote upcoming releases.

Besides there being links at the iHeartRadio Music Festival site to listen to the music streaming live, it can also listened streaming live on several Clear Channel radio stations, more that 150 of them. Yahoo is another site that will begin streaming the music live beginning Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. Then, on September 29-30, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., the CW will air a two-hour prime-time special about the iHeartRadio Music Festival, showcasing some of the highlights that occurred during the two-day festival.

The iHeartRadio Music Festival this Friday, Sept. 19 through Saturday, Sept. 20, is the place to be for music lovers who plan to be in Las Vegas this weekend. Many of today’s top musical groups and singers will be performing there, like Taylor Swift, who hit the top of the Billboard charts with her song Shake It Up recently. Also, there are no bigger acts than Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea, who will be performing this coming weekend, or as hot as groups like One Direction. Updates on the iHeart Music Festival will follow throughout this weekend!

  1. This is maybe the worst appropriation of corporate “arts & leisure” money in American history.
