(Sept. 1, 2014)– If you’re firing up the grill this holiday, you may want to hold the cheese.

Kraft Food Groups is voluntarily recalling 7,691 cases of Kraft American Singles.

The company said a supplier failed to store an ingredient used in the cheese in accordance with Kraft’s temperature standards.

The following varieties are being recalled:

  • 12 oz. Kraft American Singles (16 slices)
  • 16 oz. Kraft American Singles (24 slices) (36 count case)
  • 16 oz. Kraft American Singles (24 slices) (12 count case)
  • 64 oz. Kraft American Singles (4X24 slice)

Consumers are urged to find the “Best When Used By” dates on the bottom of the product’s package. The recalled items will display the dates of Feb. 20, 2015 and Feb. 21, 2015.

Kraft said there have been no complaints of illness associated with this recall, but the company urges consumers to return the products for an exchange or full refunds. Consumers also can contact Kraft Foods Consumer Relations at 1-800-396-5512.
