Help Fund Women's Leader Retreat

The Hadassah-Moishe House Leadership Retreat is a product of three Hadassah leaders, Gabrielle Clayman, Elizabeth Gossage and Brianna Greenspan. The trio met back in December, 2013 for the kickoff meeting of the Hadassah Leadership Fellows program. They spent the next year learning about Hadassah’s involvement in both Israel and the United States. At the end of the year, Gabrielle, Elizabeth and Brianna collaborated and created a project that would make an impact on both Hadassah and Moishe House. The project is a weekend Women's Leadership retreat at Camp Young Judaea in Texas taking place on January 29-31, 2016. The goal of the retreat is to establish a dynamic young leadership program that will recruit and sustain the next generation of Hadassah leaders through education, mentorship and grassroots volunteering. By working with Moishe House, they will be able to target their ideal demographic-young women who are already leaders in their Jewish communities.

The Hadassah-Moishe House retreat will focus on finding ways to inspire Jewish communal leaders to use Hadassah as a vehicle for their aspirations for advocacy, promoting philanthropy and fortifying their leadership skills. By combining programming from both Hadassah and Moishe House, 25-35 participants from across the country will engage in specific programming to teach them about Hadassah, its vision and mission. This will enable to participants to bring their new knowledge back to share in  the their home communities.

The total retreat cost is $25,000. We have already raised $18,500, which leaves $6,500 left to raise for this leadership retreat. Please help us reach our goal so that we may provide ways to help the strong Jewish women of our local communities and instill Hadassah passion on to the next generation. The future of Hadassah and Jewish volunteerism relies on us.
