As we live in the age of on-the-go information, we wanted to share with our readers our Top 10 Foreign Policy Podcast to help you stay up-to-date on the evolving international dynamic. Since many of us may not have the time (and let’s face it, when do we have time?) to read every newspapers and magazine, podcasts are a great way to hear news summaries, interviews, and discussions about what is happening around the world. These podcasts are available through iTunes and are all free! (It should be noted that we are only identifying English-speaking podcasts.)

Public Radio International’s (PRI) The World: Latest Edition provides a daily newscast that reports on international events across the world. Rather than focusing on just breaking headlines, they also report on less-mentioned topics around the world. With podcasts ranging from 30 to 40-minutes in length, it is great way to get your background on the news beyond just the headlines.

From the creators of the Foreign Policy Magazine, Foreign Policy Podcast is a fairly new addition to the international relations podcast field. One of the best programs is Editor’s Roundtable with senior writer, David Rothkopf, along with other experts in the field debating essential issues regarding American foreign policy. Additionally, Global Thinkers bring together some of the leading experts together to discuss pressing foreign policy challenges in the 21st century.

As one of the leading publications in international relations, Foreign Affairs Unedited is a great complement to the magazine. Their weekly podcast allows a forum for some of the leading thinkers in international relations to further expound on their articles and research printed in the magazine. Spanning topics of national security, international development, and global governance, Foreign Affairs Unedited is a great exposé of the international relations field.

The Economist Radio is an excellent extension of the magazine because it boils down the news into great daily segments.
