Mark Norton named Head Baseball and Golf Coach

PHOENIXVILLE, PA – The University of Valley Forge Athletic Department is pleased to announce the hiring of Head Baseball and Golf Coach, Mark Norton.

Mark brings a wealth of baseball knowledge and coaching experience to the program and is a welcomed addition to our UVF family!  As a student-athlete, Mark earned a Bachelor's Degree in Communication in 2005 from Nyack College, a NCAA Division II school in New York.  After graduating, he served as an assistant coach for NCCAA baseball powerhouse, Southeastern University from '05-'08.  During his tenure, he was a part of three NCCAA II National Championships and assisted in the development of several players who signed professional contracts, including Dee Gordon, the Miami Marlins second basemen.  After this experience, he landed his first head coaching position at Cincinnati Christian University, where he served for the next three years.  In 2009, he led Cincinnati Christian to its most wins in school history (21) and was awarded the Mid-East Region Coach of the Year.

Just as we are excited for Mark to join our program, he is also eager to get started.  Norton said, "I am grateful to Coach Mack and the staff at the University of Valley Forge for entrusting me to lead the Patriots' baseball and golf programs.  I am extremely excited to help bring the program to new heights."

Welcome to the UVF family, Mark Norton!

Go Patriots!
