We Gone!!!

I will miss waking up to these vibrant colors every morning
Having spent the past month in the Bahamas, Its time to leave. We had some good fishing here in San Salvador. As much as I hat to put the Marlin gear away, Its time to go to the states. Im looking forward to internet that does not crawl, Grocery stores that are bigger than a closet, and good lord I am over the mosquitoes.
The last week here has been hit or miss on the marlin. One day one boat will catch 3 and a few other boats catch one. We had another first timer yesterday. We put one of our guests on his first Blue marlin. it is surely something he will remember for a lifetime.
With the boss departing this morning, This leaves us the rest of the day to pack up and clean up. We will make for Nassau tomorrow and hopefully make Ft Lauderdale Wednesday night.
Some of you may have read recently on Face book where I posted that a boat was stopped in the southern Bahamas by the Royal Bahamian Defense Force ( Bahamian Navy). I posted that everyone should be aware that they ARE indeed patrolling in that area. All of us that travel thru that area north of the Turks and Caicos know that the fishing can be great through the Plana Cays and Managuan Island. We all also know that when departing the Turks and Caicos headed for the Bahamas, It is against the law to wet a line or take from the resource until you have cleared back into the bahamas with customs. So Just beware they are patrolling the area if you decide to fish on your way north from the Turks. I spoke to the boat that got stopped and they said they were not fined. But the 90 foot Patrol boat did indeed escort them all the way to San Salvador.
