Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred overnight at Connors Street in Ipswich.
Initial information suggests that around 2.45am a taxi driver was approached by three males and a female and was assaulted with a small hammer.
The offenders have stolen cash from the driver before running away.
The driver sustained minor injuries to his face and was treated at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
