It's with regret that we pass on that a volunteer Firefighter died in the Line of Duty from a cardiac arrest while operating at a vehicle fire yesterday.

Lac Ste. Anne County-Sangudo (Alberta, Canada) Firefighter Donald Bamber, 58, was among the firefighters responding to the vehicle fire on Highway 43 and Range Road 72 at about 9:30 on Aug. 6.

Bamber was transferring water between tanker trucks when "he suffered a medical emergency which resulted in fatal cardiac arrest." Emergency crews did CPR at the scene, and EMS did their best, but Bamber could not be revived and was pronounced dead in the hospital.

Bamber has been a member of the Lac Ste. Anne County Fire Services District 4 (Sangudo) since May 2013,

As we saw in other LODD's this week (Indiana and Kentucky) - in this case his son and son-in-law are also members of the same fire department.

Our condolences to all affected. RIP.

Take Care. Be Careful. Pass It On.
