The Highlander softball team played two games today in Clermont, Florida against the Capital University Crusaders and Alma College Scots.
In the game against the Crusaders the Highlanders jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the third, but the Crusaders came back in the bottom of the fourth and never looked back.
The Crusaders scored 10 unanswered runs and earned a 10-3 win. The Highlanders were led by
Bailey Shattell (Syracuse, NY) who went 1 for 2 with an RBI.
In the second game of the day Alma scored 3 in the sixth inning to put the game out of reach and earn an 8-0 for the Scots. The Alma pitching was too much for the
Highlanders and did not allow a hit.
