We have returned from South by South West and it was a success. We have already been invited back next year and we will be probably be lining up some bigger shows at even higher profile venues! We made some great connections as we passed The Kinected music along to many publishers, licensing companies, label people, agents and management. We will know more from some of the connections we made in the future. The trip even inspired a new tune that has been written and will be recorded very soon. We can't thank you all enough for your generous donations to us in order to make this happen.
There is so much to do upon our return.
As many of you know, The Kinected is a completely independent band. We fund ourselves through gigs and utilize much of that money to create our original vision. With that being said, the following list are goals we have set and the cost to make it happen. We are asking for your support in this journey as we really need your help.
1) In order to showcase at SXSW on March 19th, we need to get there! Between van and trailer rental, lodging etc. for a minimum of one week of travel: $2500

2) One of the main reasons we have been invited to SXSW is because of our single, “STAY.” It is therefore crucial to have physical copies of our new E.P. available prior to our trip. We are therefore hoping to physically release “TWISTED LOGIC,” a five song E.P. (including 'Stay') before our departure. Between studio expenses, mixing and mastering expenses, graphic artwork expenses and physical reproduction, the overall cost to make this a reality: $2500 (COMPLETE!)
3) With “STAY” gathering steam, we are planning to shoot a music video for the song: $3000
