Exclusive : Ireland – Eurovision Ireland can confirm that the songwriting team behind Ryan Dolan’s potential Eurovision 2015 entry are the people behind such Eurovision songs from Pastora Soler (Spain Eurovision 2012), D’Nash (Spain Eurovision 2007) , Fame (Sweden Eurovision 2003) Brequette (2nd in Spanish Eurovision 2014 selection) Andrei Leonte (Romania Eurovision 2013 National Final) and wait for it Taylor Swift, Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj

We spoke to Ryan last night about his potential Eurovision entry for 2015 that he has submitted for the Irish National Selection – Eurosong.

The songwriters that Ryan has worked with on his entry are Calle Kindbom, Jonas Thander and Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson.

Tony Sánchez-Ohlsson – Is one of the men responsible for Pastora Soler’s 2012 Eurovision hit ‘Quédate Conmigo‘ that came 10th at the contest.

Tony is also the man who wrote Spain’s 2007 entry and firm fan favourite from D’Nash ‘I love you mi vida‘ and he was also one of the writers on Brequette’s song ‘Run‘ in the Spanish National final for Eurovision 2014 that tied for first place with Ruth Lorenzo’s ‘Dancing in the Rain’

Jonas Thander was a co-writer on the song ‘Paralyzed’ by X-Factor favourite Andrei Leonte in Romania that made the country’s national final for Eurovision in 2013. However Jonas has many global hits to his credit. He arranged and recorded the horn section for Taylor Swift’s mega hit ‘Shake it Off’ and ‘Bang Bang‘ by  Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. This man knows how to arrange a Monster Hit!

Calle Kindbom is a Swedish hit maker but will be known to Eurovision audiences as the man who brought Sweden to 5th place at Eurovision 2003 with the band Fame and their catchy song ‘Give Me Your Love

Ryan is over the moon with the song that they have all created and said “Fingers crossed that it makes it to the final selection” in the Irish Eurosong final.

Well with the calibre of people working on the song and Ryan’s amazing vocals and dare we say it handsome good looks, this is a song that we hope to be hearing a lot of.

Is this a recipe for success?

We think so. Let us know.

  1. Even though he came last, I still believe that Ryan Dolan can win Eurovision for Ireland. Only Love Survives was a good song but the live performance was very weak. Another thing is, this time, he is working with songwriters that have written monster hits for the biggest names in the world. That says alot.

Ryan Dolan’s potential is absolutely endless in my opinion. Last place has actually made him a much better artist and has made him a national star as well.
