Today (Monday) the earthquake struck the country at 2:09 pm. A 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck major cities of Pakistan, including the northern areas on Monday.
Death toll is over165 and rising, scores injured due to building collapses, landslides and stampedes.
The death toll could climb in coming days because communications are down in much of the remote mountainous region.
Forty minutes after the first earthquake, an aftershock of 4.8 magnitude was reported in the same area. Aftershocks are expected to continue in the affected areas.
The area that is affected the most is CHITRAL.
This fundraising is for the earthquake that has worse hit Chitral, Pakistan. #ProjectPakistan will be working with an organization #ELAJ (same team that worked on Karachi heat wave relief work) and with Mohammad Jibran Nasir. ELAJ is a social welfare trust. A platform for collaboration, of organizations as well as individuals with their area of expertise.
Our team is already working there and we plan on moving very quickly on the relief work
