Queensborough, N.Y. - (9/14/2014) – The Chestnut Hill College cross country teams opened their seasons today, Sunday, September 14, at New York's historic Van Courtlandt Park, competing in the Queensborough Community College Invitational. The Griffins took home three medals, two in the men's eight-kilometer (8K) race and one in the women's five-kilometer (5k) race.
A sixth place finish from Sophomore
Paige Antall (Hanover Township, Pa.) paced the women to a seventh place finish out of 12 full squads (174 points), covering the challenging course in 22:08. Behind Antall, was freshman
Emily Benson-Abotangelo (East Meadow, N.Y.), ran a 24:07, good for 24
th place in the field of 115. Also scoring for the Griffins were sophomores

The men's fifth place finish (5
th of 10, 104 points) was earned on a third place finish (27:57) from sophomore
Samuel Mondello (Staten Island, N.Y.) and a sixth place finish from fellow sophomore
