Swimming Area Closed At Lake Mohegan In Fairfield
Officials announce the closure of the swimming area due to significant rainfall.
FAIRFIELD, CT — Due to rainfall exceeding the closure criteria, the swimming area at Lake Mohegan in Fairfield will be closed for the rest of Friday, July 7 and on Saturday, July 8, according to Fairfield Police.
Police said that unless there is further significant rainfall, the swimming area will reopen on Sunday, July 9. (To sign up for Fairfield breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
All coastal swimming areas are currently open, according to police.
