The 5th edition of the Cosmo Jazz Festival arrives in Chamonix from the 26th July to the 3rd August, offering a mix of live music in some of Chamonix's most iconic locations, including the top of the Aiguille du Midi, Lac Blanc and Grand Montets.

The program of concerts at altitude includes Mayra Andrade, Harold Lopez Nussa, drums Minino Garay, a special project of Chemirani brothers and a musical ride with Sandra Nkaké.

In town there are the Apérojazz sessions, where brass bands play jazz through the streets of Chamonix. In the evening, the musicians gather together at the Cham Jam sessions which last until the end of the night.

Last year the event was extended on the Swiss side of the Mont-Blanc area. This year a new stage will be in place in Les Houches.

This festival is free but access to the sites at altitude are not - so it’s worth buying the five-day multipass which allows access to all sites for five days. And until the 23d July, you can get a 20% discount on multipasses if you buy online from the Compagnie du Mont Blanc.

For the full programme visit the festival website, and for updates follow them on facebook.
