Join Us for An Evening of Hot Chili & Cool Brew

Thursday, October 15, 6 pm

Taste local, domestic and international beers, and sample meat and vegetarian chili during An Evening of Hot Chili & Cool Brew at the Newark Museum on Thursday, October 15, beginning at 6 pm. Also visit the historic Ballantine House  once home of the famed beer and ale brewing family – and experience our new exhibition The Shape of Light: Gabriel Dawe.
 
Tickets are $60 for a general admission; $50 for groups of 10 or more. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 973.596.6559.

Planned by the Newark Museum Business & Community Council and the Newark Museum Volunteer Organization, all net proceeds from this annual fundraiser will benefit the Museum.  The corporate sponsors for the event are McElroy, Deutsch, Mulvaney & Carpenter, LLP; Nishuane Group, LLC; PSEG; McCarter & English, LLP; and Prudential.
 
Domestic craft brews from Peerless range from Anchor Brewing, Boon Brewery, Boulevard Brewing, Brooklyn Brewery, Captain Lawrence Brewing Company, Clown Shoes Beer, Crispin, Duvel, Forgotten Boardwalk; Harpoon, Maredsous, Ommegang, River Horse, Rodenback Brewery, Shiner, Sierra Nevada and Sweetwater.  Hunterdon Distributors will present a variety of beers including  Colony Meadery, Downeast Cider, River Horse, Sixpoint Brewery, Saucony Creek, Troegs, 21st Amendment and Yards.  New Jersey is represented by Gaslight Brewery and Restaurant of South Orange; Magnify of Fairfield; New Jersey Beer Company of Jersey City; and  Climax Brewery from Roselle Park. Also presented will be Weyerbacher from Pennsylvania and Pabst from California. Guests will be sampling their beer in a memento pub tasting glass.
 
Chili samples will be provided by Burger Walla, Cravings A Caterer, Eclectic Catering, Encore Catering, Frungillo Caterers, Gaslight Brewery & Restaurant, Kilkenny Ale House, Laurence Craig Catering, Martini 494, McGovern’s Tavern, Nana’s Deli and Ultimate Caterers.  Hobby’s Delicatessen & Restaurant will be contributing hot dogs and trimmings.
