Party Party: Keytar Bear, Goddamn Draculas, Steve Katsos added to Boston Music Awards

If we knew it was going to be this kinda party we’d have stuck our BMA in the mashed potatoes.

The next wave of performers at the 2014 Boston Music Awards has been announced this morning, via our friends over at Guestlisted (who are nominated alongside us for Best Music Blog), and this round expands past just bands up on stage doing their thang.

In addition to Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents, 2014 Rock And Roll Rumble winners Goddamn Draculas, Sound of our Town performer Louie Bello and others joining the performer lineup, the December 14 party at the Revere Hotel will also feature Keytar Bear busting out an Artist of the Year medley, Steve Katsos presenting the New Artist of the Year (the winner will play on the host’s talk show in 2015), and Amy Douglas of Feints performing “a tribute to Boston” (the city, not the band).

“The BMA’s tribute is a montage mini Rock and Roll Cabaret set of cool arrangements for voice and piano of Boston’s most famous bands,” Douglas tells Vanyaland. “It’s going to be fun to bring some glam rock piano weirdness to this shindig and also to honor some of my favorite bands who happen to be from Boston.”

Here’s the full list of BMA add-ons, revealed this morning…
