ALLENDALE, Mich. – Benedict College track standout
Krishanda Campbell-Brown completed her collegiate career with her third All-American performance. Campbell-Brown finished eighth in the triple jump on Saturday in the DII Women's Track & Field Outdoor Championship.
Campbell-Brown had her best mark on her first attempt, with a jump of 12.24 meters (40 feet, 2 inches), which ranked her fourth after the first round.
She did not clear more than 40 feet on any of her next five jumps, and finished the competition in eighth place. The top nine finishers earn All-American status.
Antqunita Reed of Pittsburgh State won the event with a mark of 13.06 meters (42 feet, 10 ¼ inches).
Campbell-Brown finished seventh in the triple jump at the DII Indoor Track & Field Championship in March. She also was an All-American in the long jump at the 2014 indoor championship.
