SMALL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CENTER

State Grant Will Help Coachella Valley

Small Business Owners Access Capital

Ezekiel Bonillas, CVEP vice president of entrepreneurship and managing director of the Coachella Valley SBDC, says the state grant will help the organization serve small business owners in the valley's eastern communities.

The Coachella Valley Small Business Development Center will get a piece of the $2 million in state matching grants that will expand its capacity to provide counseling to small business owners and entrepreneurs seeking start-up capital in the East Valley. "Helping business owners secure the capital they need to start and grow their business is a core objective for the Coachella Valley SBDC," says Ezekiel Bonillas, CVEP vice president of entrepreneurship and managing director of the SBDC. "The funding allows CVEP and the Coachella Valley SBDC to deepen their commitment to bringing resources to the East Valley." Thirty-four SBDCs in California will share in the grant from the Governor's Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) to provide one-on-one business consulting services to assist small businesses with SBA loans, non-SBA loans, nontraditional lending, and non-owner equity investment. For information, call 760-340-1575 or e-mail [email protected].
