    September is National Suicide Prevention Month, and an opportunity for all of us to remind our friends, family -- and ourselves -- that suicide IS preventable.

    1. I will be proud of myself for what I accomplish today.

    2. I am uniquely me. I offer the world something no one else has.

    3. I can and will get through whatever is troubling me.

    4. What I think and feel matters. I matter.

    5. I love you (said to yourself).

    6. I will be kind to myself today.

    7. I will not let today’s obstacles hinder my dreams for tomorrow.

    8. My mistakes do NOT define me.

    9. Life is tough, but so am I!

    10. Never lose hope.
