This week's new and special...

WAITING FOR GARLIC!
EVAN'S OLIVES WITH HERBS AND SPICES WAITING FOR THE LAST ITEM - GARLIC……….
Evan came up this morning and has started prep for tomorrow night's feast.   He is taking a different road and using a lot of the garlic raw and mixing.  And no, we  are not having garlic ice cream !  Dessert is mixed peaches, mulberries with ricotta and friends.

Taylor Haney, a reporter from NPR, has been interviewing farmers about the affects of the drought on our sustainability.  I know of few of us who have not been having some issues.  It could be no water, expensive water, huge predation and pest issues. And with the climate shifts, problems with fruit set.   But, one thing about farmers, we are always looking around the corner for a solution.  It could be a new field irrigation system, a stronger variety, another crop better suited to what is happening.  Most of us  love what we do so we just dust ourselves off and keep on farming!!!

PRODUCE NOTES -
Still  have garlic, summer squash and potatoes.   Greens continuing with us !    Yes, we do have purslane.....

FRUIT FORECAST -
Peaches continue, some Silver Logans and some O'Henry yellows.  Prune plums a couple weeks off, I believe..   Apples are New Jersey, Gala. Mutsu a week out .  So strange to be picking a month early.
