Fairweather, 4x100 Meter Relay Team Advance to Finals at the 2015 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships

Allendale, Mich.—Claflin University freshman Trisana Fairweather clocked an 11.64 en route to advancing to the finals of the 100 meter dash at the 2015 NCAA Division II Track & Field Championships.  The Lady Panthers 4x100 meter relay team consisting of Aliyah Miller, Fairweather, Brenay Brown and Chanté Durant ran a 47.39 to advance to the finals of the championships which are co-hosted by Grand Valley State University Track & Field and West Michigan Sports Commission.
 
Fairweather, who will compete in the 200 meters prelim tomorrow, Friday, May 22, will run in the finals of the 100 meters on Friday, May 23 at 3:25 p.m.  The women's 4x100 meter relay team will run its final on Saturday, at 2:10 p.m.
 
Junior Carrie Byrd, who finished the 400 meters in a time of 58.25, did not qualify for the finals.
