Following a day in which New Yorkers and tourists were afforded an opportunity to have their pictures taken with a naked pot-bellied statue of Donald Trump in Union Square, City Parks and Rec workers finally carted the guerilla art project away.

But not before getting in a dig of their own at the GOP presidential nominee.

Replicas of the statue of the naked Trump popped up in multiple cities on Thursday to the delight of some and the dismay of others.

According to the Gothamist, the Union Square edition was reportedly the creation of anarchist collective INDECLINE, with statues also showing up in San Francisco, Seattle, Cleveland and Los Angeles.

Referred to as "The Emperor Has No Balls," Trump is portrayed as a lumpy overweight man with surprisingly normal-sized hands but undersized genitals.

The New York City Department of Parks & Recreation department took their sweet time removing the statue -- giving everyone a chance to take a selfie with the naked Trump replica -- before hauling it away and cleaning up all traces that it ever existed except for the photographic record.

According to the Gothamist, Parks Department spokesperson Sam Biederman delivered a tongue-in-cheek reason for removing the statue, while taking a pointed jab at the GOP's presidential nominee.

"NYC Parks stands firmly against any unpermitted erection in city parks, no matter how small," he stated.
