The Torch Run for the Show Me Games made its stop in Joplin on Friday. This was the fifth stop on their Torch Run around the state. The Show Me Games are an Olympic style festival featuring 40 events for people of all ages and abilities.
“The Torch Run is designed to spread the word throughout the state. We have competitors from all but one county in the State of Missouri. And we are trying to get people to come to Columbia and compete. We are the largest state games in the nation and we’d like to keep that title,” said Anna Hargis, Show Me State Games Torch Run Marketing.
The 2016 games will take place July 22nd to July 24th and July 29th to July 31st in Columbia.
