This Thanksgiving Help a Child in Need
Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate with family and friends, sharing gratitude for the joys and gifts life has brought us. For the more than 400,000 foster children who won’t be home this Thanksgiving, the holiday won't mean the same.
Whether abused, neglected or abandoned, these children are lost in the complex child welfare system, moving from house to house and school to school. For so many reasons, they may not see their parents, siblings, or any family or friends this day.
You can help change that. The National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association represents a network of 950 programs that recruits, trains, and supervises the more than 76,000 volunteers who, last year, advocated for more than 251,000 abused, neglected, and abandoned children. These volunteers place an urgency on each child’s right to have a safe and permanent home, giving them the opportunity to thrive.
This Thanksgiving, please join us in our work to advocate for America's most vulnerable children.
