Ethiopia, U.S. Agree to Intensify Terrorism Fight at Obama Talks

Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn told a joint news conference after meeting President Barack Obama on Monday that he had agreed on intensifying the campaign against terrorism in the region. Obama also stressed the importance of cooperation on counterrerrorism, adding that he had also touched on human rights issues at the talks, encouraging Ethiopia to take steps to promote good governance and democracy.
