Whataburger donated $100,000 and food to help flood relief efforts in Texas

Whataburger has pitched in to help the state that loves its burgers by donating funds and food after tragic floods ravaged through Texas.

“[…] The recent storms over the weekend devastated our friends and neighbors in Central Texas, so Whataburger wanted to do their part to honor first responders and support relief efforts,” according to a news release.

On Tuesday, the popular Lone Star State restaurant donated $100,000 to the Red Cross. The organization “is doing a critical job providing assistance to those who need it most, and Whataburger invites the Central Texas community and other businesses to join in the support efforts by going to RedCross.org,” the release said

Whataburger is also offering free meals to uniformed first responders “who have been heroic over the last days,” according to the release.

From Tuesday, May 26 through Tuesday, June 9, the responders can get a free meal on Whataburger when they visit restaurants in New Braunfels, San Marcos and Kyle.
