UTPB men's and women's swimming is heading off to next month's Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships with a pair of wins Saturday over Wayland Baptist and men's swimming won 108-80 and the UTPB women earned a 121-37 victory.
Jillian Covey picked up a pair of wins for the UTPB women, winning the 200 IM in 2:21.61 and the 100 breastsroke in 1:13.12.
Lauren Porras also won a pair of events, taking first in the 50 free with a winning time of 24.88 and finishing first in the 100 free in 55.14.
Ariana Marek finished first in 1:02.35 in the 100 backstroke, and
Amanda Alspaugh added a win in the 40 IM in 4:49.93.
David de Benito Cabezas won twice on the night for the Falcons, swimming the 200 freestyle in 1:48.14 and winning the 100 butterfly in 53.00.
Alex Ruata had a pair of wins, taking first in the 200 IM in 1:58.59 and winning the 100 breaststroke in 58.08.
Nathan Pantalion won the 400 IM with a winning time of 4:21.61, and
Johan Jonsson took first in the 500 freestyle in 4:58.09
