The year has passed the half way mark and we only have 145 days till Christmas! We'll all be present shopping before we know it!

But Christmas will have to wait, because we have so much going on at Djarts over the second half of 2015.

Dr Dan started teaching at the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) last week. He'll be teaching singing to the USQ voice students over the course of second semester (six Mondays). It's great to work with the staff and students at USQ...so much enthusiasm!

The second season of "The Fifth Chair" is well under way. This season we estimate that over 500 people have tuned in to watch Dr Dan's weekly video review of "The Voice Australia;" including classrooms of highschool music students. This project continues to be a massive success.

We passed two major milestones during July. The first happened July 1st when Djarts turned 14yrs of age. Over the past fourteen years we have served thousands of voices internationally. Our reach has been significantly increased recently through our YouTube Channel, "Voice Essentials." The second milestone was the 1000th subscriber to the channel. Our next goal is to reach 5000 subs. You can help us reach that lofty target by subscribing to the channel and encouraging your friends to subscribe also. Your assistance is much appreciated...and helps us bring the message of 'good voice' to many more singers than is otherwise possible.

The highlight of the Djarts calendar are our four student performances each year.

Each student performance offers our singers the opportunity to sing in front of a supportive audience and gain much needed experience on stage. As we often say here at Djarts, "You don't only learn to sing in the teaching studio..."

Join us for our next student performance, the Djarts 'On the Green.' Sunday 30th August, 3pm. The show will be presented on the Djarts lawn (40 Kildare Street, Carina Heights)...bring your own seating or a rug to sit on.

Dr Dan doesn't perform publically as much as he used to...but that's not to say he's hung up the mic altogether!

In a rare appearance, Dr Dan (aka. Daniel Kay) will be presenting a one man show (with his trusted accompanist, Alison Riethmuller) for the USQ Twighlight Series.

The show will feature repertoire from Music Theatre through to contemporary pop ballads. Daniel has jammed-packed this show full of the tunes he loves to sing...it promises to be a special evening. Tickets are selling fast...book your seats here.
