Spend a day with a Finn

Dear exchange students,

We would like to invite all of you to spend a day with a Finn, a Finnish family or someone who has lived her for a few years between the 20-27th of September 2014.
The idea is simple: each one of you will look at the list of activities proposed and enlist for the 2 that seems most interesting to you. Each activity is meant to help you understand the Finnish culture a little bit better, in a more personalized way, as you will be spending at least a semester here.
So consider what kind of activity you would be interested in , be it cooking (always brings people together!), going for a picnic or visiting a museum, and register through this E-form. If the first activity you chose is already full, you will be notified via e-mail and you will be sent to your second option.
The deadline for the registration is the 21st of September!!!!

Aino Sippula/ 22.09.2014 (17:30)/ Helsinki/ Max 1 student. Activity: Bike trip in Central park if it's good weather (I can borrow bike). If it's raining, we can cook in my place something typical Finnish food.

Activity: Price comparisons @ three major grocery store chains (departure by car from Myyrmäki campus) 2. Shopping for macaroni casserole ingredients (Rebecca will pay.) 3. Making macaroni casserole at Rebecca's home in Munkkivuori, Helsinki 4. Small talk in French, Spanish, Finnish, Swedish and English 5. Dining together (& with Rebecca's family i.e. husband, daughter & son) 6. Rebecca will drop students off after dinner at (for ex.) Pasila or Helsinki center railway station. The four students need only to pay their transportation costs from Pasila or Helsinki center railway station to their home(s). Languages: French and Spanish

Activity: Visit to Jean Sibelius' home (if you don't know who he is, then this might be wrong trip for you :)) + coffee and pulla at our home. Required: I'll cover all costs, but you should be interested in (classical) music to get the most out of this :)
