Apparently he really, really wanted dessert.

Sugar cravings are apparently serious business for some people: An Albuquerque Waffle House customer is in jail after pulling a knife on a waitress because he couldn't have a piece of pie, reports the Albuquerque Journal.

The report says the 41-year-old man "got angry at the end of his meal" when his waitress informed him that "the restaurant’s pies were frozen and not available." He reportedly threatened her with the steak knife he'd been eating with, and subsequently "struck the arresting officer when he was being taken into custody." He's currently in jail on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon as well as battery of a police officer.

It's certainly not the first time a violent incident has occurred at a Waffle House, but at least this time there wasn't a gun involved: Last year a Waffle House employee in Atlanta was arrested for shooting and killing an "unruly" customer.
