Benedetta Mentesana

Benedetta Mentesana

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the passing of Benedetta Mentesana.   Benedetta is an IAET member.  She joined 4 years ago and IAET was the only organization she was ever a member of.  Benedetta is the mother of IAET member Josette Weber, mother-in-Law to Al Weber, Grandmother to Mario and Adriana Weber.

She was a  truly great woman  and a role model for all to follow.  She came to this country from Sicily with her husband Giuseppe.  As most immigrants of that time, they came penniless and hopeful.  She had a bridal shop and made a good living.  In the Italian tradition, she worked hard, raised her family and taught and practiced respect, the value of a dollar, and a instilled a very strong work ethic.  The contributions Benedetta and Giuseppe gave live through the beautiful family they left behind.  Their spirit, love, inspiration, and passion will continue on.  Their impact will remain for generations to come.

Please keep the family of Benedetta Mentesana in your prayers.

Losing someone is never easy.  We are really sorry for the loss of Benedtta. At times like these you have to lean on your faith and try to accept that God has a bigger purpose for us. May all the love that surrounds us give us strength.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.

While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet her behind the veil.
Sincerely,
Vito M. D'Ambrosio
