Kicking off on the first Wednesday of June, the Queen Victoria Winter Night Market is back again with the best of winter food, drinks and entertainment.

New to the line-up this year will be a cheese-and-wine bar featuring top cheeses from Bill Tzimas, a qualified cheese grader and owner and manager of the market’s own Bill’s Farm. It will also have reds from winemaker Robert Oatley. The offering will rotate each week so check in with the market’s social media for updates.

Next to the cheese and wine bar will be a pop-up screening short films selected by a guest presenter each week. Partners already signed up include the Greek Film Festival, Victorian College of the Arts and Speakeasy Cinema.

As for the food, there will be more than 30 global street-food stalls, including mushroom burgers from Little Mushroom Co, smoked meats from Bluebonnet Barbecue (which recently suffered a fire at its Collingwood restaurant), Burn City Smokers and the very curious-sounding ramen burger (the “bun” is fried ramen noodles) from Hoy Pinoy.

Market favourite 400 Gradi will return, serving a new caramelised onion-and-potato pizza in honour of the night market.

If you get thirsty, Those Girls Iced Tea will be brewing hot apple cider while Little Creatures will return with its ales.

Besides food and drink, the night market will feature stalls selling artisan wares from local designers. Look out for geometrically inspired art and homewares from Drunk on Water and home fragrances from Green Candle Co.

And if all that isn’t enough, stilt walkers, puppet shows and one-man-band Uptown Brown will rove the aisles.

The Queen Victoria Winter Night Market is on at Queen Victoria Market, corner Victoria and Elizabeth Streets, Melbourne on Wednesdays June 3 to August 26 from 5pm–10pm.
