Jaclyn Del Cid (Bogota, NJ/Bogota) was named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week, the league announced today. Del Cid, who also was the previous week's Defensive Player of the Week, helped the Cougars win three CACC matches to extend their winning streak to six.
Del Cid averaged 6.55 digs per set in wins over Felician College, Bloomfield College and Holy Family University. In a sweep of Felician on Tuesday, Del Cid registered 26 digs to help Caldwell hold the Golden Falcons to a .017 hitting percentage. She then notched 27 digs in a five-set triumph over visiting Bloomfield on Friday. Del Cid closed out the week with 19 digs in a 3-0 win over Holy Family, as the Tigers hit .104. A two-time all-CACC libero, Del Cid is averaging 5.68 digs per set to rank second in the CACC this season.

Athena Nestoras (Los Angeles, CA/St. Monica) was included on the Honor Roll after an impressive all-around week. She averaged 2.73 kills, 4.55 assists and 2.36 digs in the three victories.
The Cougars play at Post University on Wednesday, Oct. 22 in a key CACC North Division match. The action starts at 7:00 p.m. in Waterbury, Conn.
