GCAA All-Academic Release

NORMAN, Okla. – The Nova Southeastern University men's golf squad was named on Wednesday by the Golf Coaches Association of America as an NCAA All-Academic Team, as presented by Farmers Insurance.
 
The Sharks were one of 141 total teams, 25 teams in Division II, and six teams from the Sunshine State Conference to be recognized by the GCAA. To be eligible for All-Academic status, the team GPA had to cumulatively be 3.0 or better, and NSU chalked up a 3.17 during the 2013-14 academic year. The team award comes on the heels of four Sharks being named as NCAA All-American Scholars by the same organization last week.
 
"I'm very proud of our guys for this extremely important honor," said head coach Ryan Jamison. "It speaks to their overall commitment to be successful in a multifaceted program. As always, we appreciate everyone who has played a role in their development as students. I look forward to continuing this pace and growing our mark year by year."
 
Jamison's squad will look to build on their successes on and off the course beginning this fall, as six returnees from last year's national runner-up squad will combine with four newcomers to make up the roster for the 2014-15 season.
