Vulpes Libris

A collective of bibliophiles talking about books. Book Fox (vulpes libris): small bibliovorous mammal of overactive imagination and uncommonly large bookshop expenses. Habitat: anywhere the rustle of pages can be heard.

Coming Up this Week

Promenade-reds
Food for thought, that’s what we’ve got for our readers this week. Books that make you think about things in a different way than you are used to. From history to social media our reviews will have you looking at topics from an uncommon and insightful angle. And as the cherry on the icing, the week ends with a teeny-weeny bit of vulpine nepotism.

Monday- Kate reads the Man Booker longlisted novel by Laila Lalami, The Moor’s Account, a retelling of the ‘discovery’ of America by the Moroccan slave who was also there at the time.

Wednesday- Kirsty D is made to think by Jon Ronson’s So You’ve Been Publicly Shamed.

Friday- Eve and Moira attempt to convey the awesomeness of Lisa Glass’s YA novel ‘Air’ without giving too much of the plot away.
