Friday's Friend: Dog Adoption, Washington Humane Society

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Barkingly pawsome to be writing for the Washington Humane Society again!

The Washington Humane Society works barkingly pawsome to find "Forever Homes" for the animals which find themselves at their doorstep. WOOF!  Sometimes, through no fault of their own, an animal will have a difficult time finding the right forever family.

The Hidden Gems program aims to showcase these animals that have been with us for an extended period and show the public what they've been missing! WOOF!!!! Barkingly, I will be introducing you to their animals in this program!

Troy has been at the Washington Humane Society for 61 days, which makes him their second longest resident dog.  A one year old, American Staffordshire-Terrier mix, Troy is full of energy and eager to please!   Meet my friend Troy!

Troy started life out with a family but was surrendered to the Washington Humane Society when his family moved and he couldn't go with them.  He was adopted, but returned due to landlord issues.  He is ready to find a true "Forever Home" and begin having more fun in life!

Despite these changes, ups and downs, he remains one of the happiest and goofiest pups in town! He loves humans, which is barkingly pawsome, and it shows from his wiggly behind shaking all about to the prance he does with his feet any time he sees a friend, old or new.

A pro at playing fetch, Troy will run at full speed like a graceful Olympian, with the wind whipping against his floppy ears!!  Troy is learning to "drop it," so the game fetch will not turn into a game of chase!  WOOF!!!!

Troy is looking for a fun-loving, exercise-oriented family who will appreciate his big smile and youthful spirit! He will need to be the only animal in his new home, and would love to have human brothers and sisters - kids are fun and they throw the ball for him!

In the Hidden Gem program, Troy has volunteers spending extra time working on basic training needs and socialization, readying him to quickly settle into a new home.

As an extra "thank you" for taking him home, Troy's adoption fee has been waived. Standard adoption procedures apply.
