Obama: If The GOP Doesn’t Shut Down The Government We Don’t Have A Problem

On ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos,” President Barack Obama seemingly taunted congressional Republicans to shutdown the government by saying it was their “habit” to do so with every disagreement like the one he just caused with his executive order granting amnesty to upwards of 5 million illegal immigrants already in the United States.

The president said, “One of the habits that we have seen in Congress, over the last four years since the House Republicans took over, is that everything becomes hostage to one disagreement. So a couple of years ago it was was ObamaCare, the Affordable Care Act, and they decided we are going to shut down the government because we disagree with one law.”

When Stephanopoulos pushed the president pointing out, “They say they are not going to do that this time.”

Obama replied, “Well if they are not going to do that then we shouldn’t  have a problem.”
