Police are investigating a fatal house fire which occurred in Mount Isa earlier this morning.
Around 6am, police were called to the Elliot Street, Parkside address following reports of a house on fire.
Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished. A subsequent search of the house was conducted and a man was located deceased inside.
No one else was in the residence at the time.
Investigations into the cause of the fire continue.
