Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman is no stranger to talking trash on opposing wide receivers, and in a one-on-one with Bleacher Report, Norman took aim at Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery and the rest of the top receivers in the NFC East.
"Alshon is going to be with us this year. He's a big guy. He uses his body. And I enjoy going against big guys because they think they can get physical with me," Norman said. "They think that. That's quite the contrary."
"It's those little jokers, those little buggers, you've got to get down with. I can't take a day off. You've got guys who if they score on you, if they beat you in any kind of way, it's going to get blasted. I'm the guy where, if I shut this down, that ain't going to get shown. But if I give up a touchdown? I'm the worst in the history of the world."
Jeffery will be an infusion of not only veteran talent but also the element of being a reliable big, physical receiver that the Eagles have lacked on the outside in recent seasons.
Prior to the two games between the Eagles and Redskins this upcoming season, Norman and Jeffery have done battle previously last season, as well as in 2014. In two games against Norman, against the Washington Redskins and Carolina Panthers, Jeffery has hauled in 11 catches for 189 yards and a touchdown.
Jeffery won't have to wait long to prove whether or not he can replicate his pas success against Norman as the Eagles open the regular season at FedEx Field against the Redskins.
