Search and rescue, Lake Eacham

A search and rescue operation is continuing at Lake Eacham in the Atherton Tablelands this morning after a man was reported missing at the lake yesterday.

Around 11am, a 56-year-old man was first seen in an inflatable boat on the lake but the boat was later located without the man on-board.

A search operation commenced yesterday afternoon and an air, water and land search with the assistance of the SES is continuing this morning.

Lake Eacham and the entrance road to the lake is currently closed to the public.
