After dropping set one, the Tigers came back to take the second set and even the match at 1-1. Trailing 9-7 in set two, Ouachita would mount a 10-1 run forcing Tech to spend two time outs and give the Tigers a 17-10 lead. Ouachita was strong at the net in set two, getting points off of four blocks. Kelly Ballard hit four of her eight kills in set two.,
The Tigers jumped out to an early 6-1 lead in set three. Tech pulled within one, but three straight kills by Ouachita, one by Ballard and two by
Tara Wait forced another Tech timeout. Tech would take the lead at 15-14 and would hold off the Tigers to take the set 25-22.
Ouachita held a one point lead in the fourth set at 4-3, but Tech would regain the lead and not relinquish it, closing out the match with a 25-18 win in set four.
Ouachita will play at home this Thursday, October 23 against Central Baptist College. First serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
