Maryanski, Christenson named All-Midwest Conference

(Waukesha, Wis.) – Carroll University's Breann Maryanski and Malory Christenson have been named second team All-Midwest Conference for women's basketball, league officials announced today.
 
The pair led the Pioneers to a second place league finish after posting a record of 16-8 overall, 13-5 in the Midwest Conference.
 
Maryanski, a senior from Aurora, Ill. (Roseary), averaged 12.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. She was second on the team in scoring and first in rebounding. She also finished the year with a team-best 23 blocks and a second-best 55 steals. Despite a shortened sophomore campaign due to an injury, Maryanski finished her career with 581 rebounds, which ranks her 10th on Carroll's all-time list.
 
Christenson, a junior from Appleton, Wis. (East), led Carroll in scoring at 14 points per game while shooting a team-best 53.7% from the field. She averaged 3.7 rebounds per game and recorded 50 steals on the season. In three seasons, Christenson has amassed 818 points and 301 rebounds. Next season she will attempt to become the 15th player in Carroll women's basketball history to reach 1,000 career points.
