INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Jaguars ended a three-match losing streak defeating Detroit 5-2 in their regular season finale. It was their fifth road win this season and sixth overall.
 
A pair of tiebreak wins in doubles got the Jaguars off to a good start. Thomas Gans and Jacob Bradley, IUPUI's most successful doubles pair, didn't finish since the doubles point was clinched.
 
Three straight-set wins in singles quickly clinched the match in IUPUI's favor. Jason Jaruvang, Alex Toliver and Akshay Verma each won yielding no more than three games in the match. Toliver now leads the team with 12 singles dual-match wins and Verma is just one win from becoming the fourth Jaguars player with 10 or more.
 
Gans won the opening set easily, but was forced to a third after dropping the second-set breaker 7-4. He pulled it out though with a 10-8 win in the third-set super tiebreak.
 
With the regular season wrapped up, the Jaguars will travel to Denver as the No. 4 seed in next weekend's Summit League Tournament. They'll open play on Friday against Western Illinois in the 4-5 matchup at 4 p.m. ET.
