Flyleaf Second Thursday Poetry Series & Open Mic, featuring Fred Chappell and Pat Riviere-Seel

Featured readers will each read for approximately 20 minutes and, after a short break for the readers to sign books, there will be an open poetry mic. Please sign up to read no later than 6:45 pm. Each open mic reader will be limited to no more than a page of poetry.

An informal get-together before the reading will begin around 6:00pm next door at Foster's Market. Come join us for an hour of conversation.

About Pat Riviere-Seel: Pat Riviere-Seel is poet, a runner, a woman who has lived long enough to have “past” and “former” prefixes for more jobs and volunteer positions than she can name without looking at a resume. She earned an MFA from Queens University of Charlotte and has published two prize-winning collections: No Turning Back Now and The Serial Killer’s Daughter. Her new book, Nothing Below but Air was published by Main Street Rag Press in March 2014. Pat teaches in UNC Asheville’s Great Smokies Writing Program; in 2012 she held a unique position as poet-in-residence at the NC Zoo.
