This campaign will collect all funds raised by November 14, 2014 at 12:00 AM EDT
The University of Michigan Muslim Students' Association is partnering with Syrian Sunrise Foundation as part of its annual Fast-A-Thon event to support Al-Salam school in Reyhanli, Turkey.
We have until November 14th to raise as much as we can to help Al-Salam school. Our goal is to raise five thousand dollars for the school and that will aid the school in paying its teachers, providing school supplies, and sponsoring students.
Al-Salam School runs because of generous donors like you. Because tuition is free, the school requires outside funding to expand its facilities, pay salaries and operating costs, provide supplies, books, lunches to students, and maintain educational programs. This is estimated at around $50,000/month. You can help reach this goal by supporting us through the perks on the right hand side!
You can also help this initiative by sharing this fundraiser on your Facebook, Twitter, or email and motivate your friends and family to donate to a great cause. May God reward your sincere efforts and intentions.
#Educate. #Empower. #Entrust
As an academic community of college students and professionals, our niche extends far beyond the walls of institutions and work boundaries. Education is a means to bring advancement to society and to promote giving back to the world.
Project Al-Salam not only provides refugee children with an education but empowers a future generation to rebuild, restore, and revive their lives and their country.
On a humanitarian level funding education is just as important as providing other forms of relief such as food, shelter, and medical aid. It is a long term promise that will pay off for generations. We cannot allow political turmoil to hinder the educational development of any child. There are concerned peoples and organizations, like you and Syrian Sunrise Foundation (SSF), that are doing their best in order to ensure that Syrian refugee children have access to education.
Syrian Sunrise Foundation (SSF) was established in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, humanitarian relief organization whose focus is to facilitate humanitarian assistance for Syria and respond to emergency situations. US Donations Tax- Deductible; ID 45-3956321
