This week on the show Guardian games editor Keith Stuart is joined by games writer for Rock, Paper, Shotgun Philippa Warr. Also joining the games team are Michael Cook, research associate at Goldsmiths College and creator of the autonomous game creating software Angelina and Harvey Elliot, CEO of Marmalade games studios and chair of the BAFTA games committee.

The panel discuss the strange culture of games bugs, glitches and errors in the gaming code that can cause bizarre things to happen and can induce hilarity and/or rage. Also the team discuss the growing role of AI systems in games that allow a players experienc of a game to be personalised and unique and finally, Keith talks to Ryan Green the creator of That Dragon Cancer, a genre defying game about Ryan's son Joel who died of cancer. Ryan discusses the reason why he created a game that enables players to experience the grace and beauty of Joel's short life and do understand the grieving process that we all experience.
